Here’s the new Multi Culti schedule. There are some changes based on the need to keep us in school for a full day.
These plans are slightly edited from the notes that Cheryl sent out. They were developed in forum sessions and during a lunch meeting between students, faculty, and the dean on October 28th.
7:55am-10:00am: Forum—individual forums use this time to prepare for the feast.
Susette’s forum would use highly scientific data to randomly pair forums together.
10:00am–10:30 am: Forum A visits to Forum B and learns about its culture.
10:30am–11:00am Forum B to Forum A
Host forums would provide the following:
11:00am–11:15am: Forums return to rooms and finish the setup.
11:15am-12:15pm: Wander, eat and visit
12:15pm-12:45pm: Forums clean up
12:45pm–2:45pm: Celebrate Community
Here’s the plan for the free time between cleanup and the end of school:
The Movie plan: All forum pairs watch “What’s Cookingâ€? – get cozy, share dessert; at the of the movie we all have one key question about the film to discuss and answer – each forum or room has a big sheet of paper and markers – we end the day writing our answer to the question and hanging our poster in the hallway, so when we return to school on Monday, everyone sees the feedback and we can follow up in forums on Tuesday.
Have dessert with partner forum. Forums get together before the Feast and plan an activity: Watching the movie “What’s Cooking; playing board games; play cards, Pictionary, charades; a community service project.
